hey guys,

I see that the correct idiom is as much as.... so we are left with A,C,E. I can feel that A is kind of awkward! But what's wrong with C.

Whats wrong with "as much more".

Can you explain, A,C,E

Simply put, as much more is idiomatically incorrect.

Something can either be as much something else or it can be more than something else.

as much and more represent two different ideas and we cannot club these two together.

"as much as" is =
"more than" is >
"at least as much as" is >=

You could theoretically see "as much more", but as niksworth says, NOT EVER in a comparison. It would show up in the same places you could see "since much more": The fire department called in a second fire truck, as much more water would be needed to put out the blaze.
