SC Self Study Books

by sbharath » Sun Apr 01, 2012 3:38 am
Hi,

SC is one of my prime weak areas, as from my 1st MGMAT CAT exam.

Though I had the MGMAT SC guide, I was overwhelmed by it's huge content and lack of proper structure. I heard about Aristotle SC grail from this forum and I ordered it. It looks amazing - to the point, very well organized and exam oriented.

a) Is this book alone enough to nail down the SC part or is there a need to study MGMAT guide too? I do not want to waste my time reading MGMAT SC if SC grail is good enough to crack the SC. Or is there a need to study some selected chapters from MGMAT SC guide, please guide me.

b) Also I see that Aristotle has a book " 1 minute explanations to OG12 SC Questions". I am tempted to order this after seeing the value addition from "SC Grail" book.

Please let me know, if this book would be helpful to under the SC OG12 questions in an efficient way.

My Target score is above 700.

Thanks,
Bharath S

MGMAT SC guide is a MUST for 700+ score. Aristotle prep is basically a condensed version of SC guide only.

Aristotle prep is good enough for 600 score but SC guide is a must for 700+ score.. check 2 or 3 debriefs of 700+ score u ll find SC guide in it..

Also request you to try e-gmat..their SC score has very good recommendations(heard from my friends and in many forums like BTG).. I went thro' their trial session and found them to be very useful.

If u ve decided not to take any course for SC..follow the below approach..
SC guide + OG guide/VR + right preparation method --> SC will be ur strongest area in verbal

for the right way to prepare for SC using OG visit https://gmatkolaveri.tumblr.com/post/195 ... correction
