Tibetian

Tibetan rugs are so expensive because the weaver still pursues his art as they have for centuries, by hand-dyeing all their wool and then knotting each thread individually to achieve a unique pattern for each piece.

(A) the weaver still pursues his art as they have
(B) the weaver still pursues his art as he has
(C) weavers still pursue their art as they have
(D) weavers still pursue their art as was done
(E) the weaver still pursues his art as has been done
The GMAT is indeed adaptable. Whenever I answer RC, it proficiently 'adapts' itself to mark my 'right' answer 'wrong'.

My bad...the underlined portion has THEIR so this rules out WEAVER

(C) weavers still pursue their art as they have
(D) weavers still pursue their art as was done

And C is using the right tense.

IMO C

(C) weavers still pursue their art as they have< shows weavers have pursued the art from ancient time and still the trend continues

(D) weavers still pursue their art as was done < - IMO wrong as past tense shows that pursue is a thing of past and didn't continue...
