I would choose D
A and B are out because of subject verb agreement. Models can't agree with "is"
C this is just wordy and awkard
D- Correct
E- "while also" is not as concise as a simple "and"

There is a Subject -verb Disagreement.
Models: plural
verb : plural (required)
IMO E.

i was debating between D and E but I choose E because the "while also" makes it clear that it happened at the same time.
My goal is to make MBA applicants take onus over their process.

@money9111....In option E , while is used as adverbial conjunction .
..........while models were also incorporating.......
is an adverbial clause, which bold words can be omitted...
option E suits well.

wow, I have never even heard of this. Which conjunctions must be followed by adverbs and which can be followed by present participles?Rajat Khandelwal wrote:@money9111....In option E , while has been used as conjunction to join two present participle phrases...but while is used as adverbial conjunction .
But "and" can be used to join two present participle phrases .
Hence i think option D...

I would have chosen D as well, just because it's has less words.. but does "and" take away the clarity of the sentence? Meaning, by using "and" it's not clear it happens at the same time?

Choice between D and E will primarily be decided by which one of them are closer in meaning to the original sentence. "but also" in the original sentence means emphasis and also happening at the same time. And simply states twi qualities are there but doesnot emphasise the second one

Initially I chose D, more concise than E.
max37274 wrote E is closer to the meaning of the original. But since the original can be wrong should be base our subtle undestanding of the sentence on it. But the logic worked. Is it a safe bet?

Models were aesthetic and had world class engineering. They do not necessarily have to go hand in hand. Hence the use of also makes sense even if it was not there in the original.
