SC- Can't categorize the Q type

by Suz » Wed Jul 11, 2012 5:57 am
I'm fairly decent at SC- get probably 60% of the questions right. But during the test, I can't categorize the SC question type.I just directly look for splits in the answer choices and then go by my ear. How can I remedy this?Is it important for me to be able to categorize the question type before I attempt it? Wouldn't it take up too much time... any thoughts?

A good idea is to look for characteristic expressions. For example "not only...but also" signalizes that the sentence refers to the problem of parallelism.
A good idea would be to make a list of certain expressions that are commonly tested in the GMAT.
