20. Due to the fact that Jordan wrecked Bono’s station wagon during a road trip last summer, she has not been and probably never would be allowed to drive her father’s care.
a. has not been and probably never would be allowed to drive her father’s care.
b. has not been allowed to drive and probably never would be allowed to drive her father’s care.
c. has not and probably never would be allowed to drive her father’s care.
d. has not and probably will be allowed to drive her father’s care.
e. has not been and probably never will be allowed to drive her father’s care.


Oa is b.

Why d is not better than OA, as it reduces the number of words in the statement.

Unless am missing something, the question is not of good quality. Of the given answers, A seems to be the best choice. Even A should be "...probably would never be allowed" rather than "probably never would be".. There is no way B would be an answer on the GMAT

I also think A is correct.

I think from B "allowed to drive" can be easily taken out and it will result in A.

D is wrong
because will does not make any sense.
the splitted parts will be

She has not allowed to drive her father’s care.
She probably will be allowed to drive her father’s care.
IMO No sense


Please let us know source of thsi question.
