mgmat sc book says below sentence is correct but i remember we can elide a verb only if exact form appears earlier. Any thoughts...
I walk as fast now as I walked when I was younger.

Could you please rephrase your question? The sentence you have posted does not contain ellipsis, it contains a comparative structure with "as."
