B is correct answer IMO
modeled sculpture after
(A) modeled the face of the statue like his mother’s and the body like his wife’s -- his mother's but what ?? face or what?

(B) modeled the face of the statue after that of his mother and the body after that of his wife - sounds correct

(C) modeled the face of the statue like his mother and the body like his wife - he modeled the sculpture not his mother and wife did it

(D) made the face of the statue after his mother and the body after his wife - made the face of statue after his mother ?? meaning is not intact its like he made statue in parts or what !!!

(E) made the face of the statue look like his mother and the body look like his wife - face can't look like mother it should be face look like that of his mother i guess

Cheers,
