A: "scientist hope will enable them" ambiguity. Wrongly says hope will enable them not the measurements.
B: "are hoping..." continuous form is wrong here.
C: Left out after POE.
D: unnecessarily wordy, "and which" does not fit
E: "are hoping..." continuous form is wrong.

Dont try to see the difference "to make"/"for making"... It will lead no where.
