In a blow to those who still harbored the illusion that E-mail exchanges are private, a watchdog group recently uncovered a trick for enabling an interloper to rig an E-mail message so that this person will be privy to any comments that a recipient had added as the message is forwarded to others or sent back and forth.

IMO C

Another flaw with D is the subject-verb agreement error.
still harboring the illusion that E-mail exchanges are private, a watchdog group recently uncovered a trick that enable an interloper to rig an E-mail message so that this person will be privy to any comments that a recipient might add
Here that describes trick, which is singular and thus requires a singular verb enables rather than enable.

My approach: (Correct me if I'm wrong)
as 'might' is the past tense of may... it cannot be used to indicate a future action. this rules out options B, D and E.
past perfect in A is needless and also 'enabling' is C is better than 'for enabling' in A.

IMO : C
P.S: I did underline the complete part that was tested. Maybe be some technical short...sry.[/spoiler]

I missed the Enable part.. I strongly feel that there is a typo here.. it should be enables..

option C does not look good to me :(
