is M < 0?

(1) -M = |-M|
(2) M square = 9, in other words, M^2 = 9

Hi,
From(1):
-M = |-M|
-M should be non- negative. So, M is non-positive
i.e. M <= 0
Not sufficient

From(2):
M =-3 or M= +3
Not sufficient

From(1) and (2):
M <= 0 and M = -3 or +3
So, M = -3
M<0
Sufficient

Hence, C
