GMAT on Thursday, 18th Feb

by obsessed_GMAT » Tue Feb 16, 2010 7:22 am
Hi All,

I cant believe my test day is almost here!

I have a wide range of scores from all the practise tests I have taken. I am scoring in the range of 690-760 on the Manhattan , GMAT prep and Mcgraw-Hill tests. I dont know if I am really worth a 750 right now.

My verbal scores are pulling me down. RC has really become a problem area. Any last minute tips? Please HELP!

I hope I get that 750 I am aiming for. I dont want to take the GMAT (ever) again.

All the best to you all.

Good luck man. The best thing you can do at this point is reinforce strengths and do not dwell on your weaknesses. You will do the best that you are capable of doing.

obsessed_GMAT something that I heard last night when I was participating in a Veritas seminar was think of the overall test like this:

the GMAC tries to throw all of these things at you prior to to actually starting the exam. Photo ID, Lockers, Scratch Pad, Fingerprint/vein scan, security... and then the Essays... in attempt to throw you off your rocker at first. So there are two things you can let happen...

1. you can let it throw you off your rocker and get in your head making you lose concentration

2. you can say to yourself "ok... they're throwing all these things at me because their questions aren't that hard...and this is the only way they can weed out those who are not fully prepared"

That being said... if you've been scoring 690+ consistently... you're definitely ready! believe in yourself, and remember to relax! the latter is easier said than done, but take it one question at a time and you'll be fine.

Best of luck! Make sure you get enough sleep!!! What time is your exam?

How did it go?!?!? I hope that your lack of response is an indicator that you don't need to BEAT THE GMAT anymore!
