here is another one I can't understand what it is trying to say. can somebody help me out with this one thanks.

Recent statistic make it seem unlikely that the total consumtion of electricity determines its cost to individual consumers. Recent increase in total consumtion especially during summer months have sometimes been accompanied by a decrease in the cost per unit and at other times by an increase.

Which of the following position is best supported by the information presented above?

1. It must be the case that the cost of electicity to comsumer is what determines the total consumption.

2.Even though a correlation exists between the total consumption of electricity and its cost to consumer, no casual relation exists.

3. Further investigation into the way these statistics were gathered is certainly called for.

4.The cost of electicity depends upon something other than the total consumption of electricity.

5.The cost per unit of electricity to consumer is dependant on the total electicity consumption.

The answer is 4

It says increase in consumption does not lead to increase or decrease of prices for sure. , which means that bill should be based on something else other than consumption which is wat 4 says...

1 rejected coz cost is not determined by consumption
2 we r not sure if a correlation exists..
3 Out of scope
5 same as 1..

Hope this helps..
