Is 4 years old at Harvard now?

by tennisdiva » Fri May 14, 2010 2:24 pm
All this talk about Harvard getting younger and younger is concerning. I hear stories of people with 2 years of experience as ideal (just hearsay). I'm applying after 3 years of experience (4 years when I enroll). Would I actually be considered "old"?

Profile:
GPA: >3.9 from Top 3 Engineering School
D1 Varsity Athlete
GMAT: 770
Industry: 1 year Bulge Bracket Investment Banking, 3 years Venture Capital
Leadership: Founding Committee of a PE group and an angel investing group for my alma mater.

What are my chances? What else can I improve on in addition to essays/recs? Thanks!

"old" no... i think that's smack in the middle for HBS at least... at some other schools you might still be considered younger
My goal is to make MBA applicants take onus over their process.

lol, you're fine. I'll be applying to HBS to start next year as well and I'll have 8 years experience at that point. I guess I'll be the old guy on campus if I get in. :)
