Coin arrangements - Concept

by gmatrant » Fri Nov 11, 2011 12:06 am
If I have 11 coins - What are the different arrangements possible if I get 5 Heads on the coin.

is it
11!/5!
or
11!/(5!*4!) [4! is for the tails]
A kudos or thanks would do great if my answer has helped you :)

I think the question is not fully clear. Could you please post the full question?

If I understand the quetsion correctly, What is the probability that I get 5 heads, when 11 coins are tossed simultaneously?

Probability = 11C5/(2^11)

If you just want the arrangements, you have 5 heads and 6 tails. Total 11.

Possible arrangements would be 11!/(5!*6!) - 5 heads and 6 tails.
