This is a very awkward question....

What researcher has found?
Ans : Discarded human skin can be used to test new drugs and cosmetics,

Wen did he found that?
Ans : while sparing the animals agony in test laboratories.

tense is present

All this answers can be only given by A and D

I don't know - the difference between "researcher" and "a researcher"

It's one of the A or D

Why do you think so "a" before researcher is required?

I can say - Researcher was able to find the tools.

I can say - A researcher was able to find the tools.

If I want to use plural - Researchers were able to find the tools.

a researcher means a particular(single) researcher whose name or about whom we don't know exactly has found the concept and the credited goes to that person only. It is more relating to person than the community of researcher.

researcher means any researcher has found the concept, and researcher community has more importance than the person.
to be precise in that case term that is suitable is " researchers"....Researchers have found ..............

so ans A is correct.
