Hey folks
I have a week to go before my Gmat and the following are my scores.
1) gmat prep 1: 640 (q47, v32)
2) gmat prep 2: 700 (q48 v40)
3) mgmat1 640 (q45, v34)
4 repeated gmat prep 690 (q48, v34)
Based on your experiences, can I achieve my target score of 680-700?
I know I am asking a question that has been asked before, but any help
would reassure me at this point. Thanks so much and will update as soon as I take the test.

Hi vijayitw,
Your practice CAT scores are solid, but inconsistent; they ARE in range of your goal though. Test Day is going to come down to silly mistakes - if you eliminate them, then you can get the score that you want, if you can't eliminate them, then you'll probably score in the mid-to-low 600s).

Thanks Rich
Apart from the encouragement given today, I would like to thank you for all replies over the last few months. I can feel myself losing concentration somewhere around the 12 question and am hoping I can keep my cool during the test. Will keep you posted. Also, would it be fair to say that repeating the GMAT prep would yield a +/- 40 points score, in comparison to the actual one?

Hi vijayitw,
I've never been a fan or repeating a practice CAT for the purposes of measuring one's ability. That second score can vary WILDLY from your actual ability and in many cases gives an "inflated" score that is not realistic.
Part of hitting the highest scoring levels depends on your ability to stay focused. Sometimes that's an attitude issue, sometimes it's a physical issue (breathing, posture, what you ate for breakfast, etc.). The GMAT always gives you the score that you EARN though, so if you find yourself losing concentration, then take a few seconds, "reset" yourself and then get back to work.

Hi vijayitw,
I believe that confidence and, in general, mindset play a HUGE role on test day.
So, over the next 7 days, you should work into your schedule some opportunities to develop a winning mindset. Here are two recommendations to get you started:

- https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2011/04/ ... n-the-gmat
Cheers,
Brent
