n is an integer chosen at random from the set {2, 5, 6} and p another integer chosen at random from the set {6, 9, 10}. What is the probability that the two numbers n and p are even?
(A) 1/9
(B) 2/9
(C) 4/9
(D) 5/9
(E) 7/9

prob of even number n from the set (2,5,6) and even is 2/3
prob of even number p from the set (6,9,10) and even is 2/3
so total prob 4/9

Prob=Total number of even integers from 2 sets/Total number of integers can be chosen

total number of integers chosen=3*3=9

total number of even integers are 2,6 2,10 6,6 6,10=4

prob =4/9
