Need help for applying for R3 to US B schools

Hi,
I'm looking for MBA program in USA. My Name is Harish, I'm from INDIA. Let me brief you up my profile.

10th- 80%
12th- 85%
U.G (Electronics Engineering) CGPA: 3.3/5
GMAT: Taking by FEB end.
Work ex: Currently I have 4.8 years work ex in Wireless Broadband Telecom services company. Working as a Senior telecom Engineer and have worked with Telecom Giants across Europe,Japan & USA. Currently managing and leading team of 4 engineers.
Extra curr: Guitarist(I have been playing as a hobby), Stage drama artist(Have performed across states about 10 shows. I have just started with my drama career) and college team captain and college cultural committee member.

Applying to B schools: Haas, Michigan Ross,Darden Virginia,Tuck @ Dartmouth,Duke(Fuqua), NYU Stern, Tepper CMU, UCLA Anderson, Kenan Flager, Fisher Ohio state, Kelly @ Indiana, McCombs (UTA), Johnson @ Cornell and Smeal Penn state.

My question:
It surmises that I don't have a strong extra curr to project/portray myself for a competitive profile. All these reflects only as a mere hobby, apparently.

1)Considering that I have a very good GMAT score,what are the chances of getting into the above B-schools mentioned above?
2)I'm planning to take GMAT by FEB end. Can I apply for R3 and being an international applicant,is it possible to get an admit considering visa & paper works?
3)Is it safe to apply for 14 fall or shall I go for 15 fall?
4) What are the chances of getting waived?

Hey Harish!
Hope you are well dude! Let me take a stab at your questions.

1. I'd suggest FIRST taking your GMAT and THEN trying to figure out where you can apply.
2. You can. But it's generally a bad idea. There are VERY few places left in R3, and you have to have an AWESOME profile to get in R3.
3. 2015 (because of above)
4. What do you mean getting waived???

Thank you for your prompt reply.I would certainly finish off my GMAT first. That would be my first priority any day. I'm quite worried about my profile competitiveness with other applicants. And for the question, "Getting waived", what I really meant was regarding funding of B schools. Sorry for the misnomer.

Hey there,

It's hard to judge your profile from what you've written but I'm optimistic that if we delve into it you'll have some good stories and impact to highlight. From an extracurricular standpoint, yeah, you're light. Really light. See what you can do between now and next fall to really strengthen that.

From a scholarship standpoint, two things. One, it's impossible to say without knowing your GMAT. Secondly, given your profile, even with a great score, a top 20 scholarship is rare. It's really just a question of how much money they have for international applicants across how many international applicants actually apply. The numbers are not in your favor there.

But, like Jon said - worry about school selection and determining scholarship possibilities after you have your GMAT. You have plenty of time too. If you take it in February, you have ~5 months to figure out if you need to retake it and, if not, what schools you can start looking into.

I hope that helps a little bit - I know I didn't give you too many answers but I think you're looking for the answers to the right questions at the wrong time.
