The standard deviation of a normal distribution of data is 2, and 3 standard deviations below the mean is greater than 43. What is a possible value for the mean of the distribution?

A 46
B 47
C 48
D 49
E 50

SD = 2

--> Mean - 3*SD > 43
--> Mean - 3*2 > 43
--> Mean > 43 + 3*2
--> Mean > 49

The correct answer is E.
