the question is about the IDIOMs
Consider X to be Y or consider X as Y are wrong idioms and the correct one is consider X Y.
so only E has the desired combination

Bek....

consider x to be y is not an incorrect idiom. i think you were able to rule out B C and D.
the reason why A is incorrect is because of "present these"

subjects of literature have to be portrayed.. not presented. Another point we need infinitive form in E to make it parallel with the rest of the sentence. "to consider"------"to portray"

hope it helps dear....

yes

most students consider verbal to be a difficult subject.

you can also say-

most students consider verbal a difficult subject.
Both are correct.

The working class is surely plural. You are talking about the entire group (class). Remember to use a proper noun with "the" to keep it singular. The road, The horse, etc

Well I am relying on the information given in the Manhattan SC strategy guide, chapter 9(Idioms)
According to it:
RIGHT:
I considered her a friend.I considered her intelligent.
Note:You can switch the order of two objects, if one is long.
I consider illegal the law passed last week by the new regime.
The law is considered illegal

SUSPECT:
The judge considers the law to be illegal.
WRONG:
The judge considers the law as illegal(or as being illegal).
The judge considers the law should be legal.
The judge considers the law as if it were illegal.

I agree that "consider to be " is not totally wrong but what I have experienced is that if you got the better one in GMAT, then between the RIGHT and the SUSPECT one you have to choose the RIGHT one.
"consider to be" might not be colloquially wrong but in GMAT most of times is considered as an incorrect choice.
