by showbu » Tue Jan 13, 2009 10:52 pm
Twenty years ago, on my graduation from law school, I would have liked to have had the chance to join the partnership, but the substantial investment required would have made such a move impossible.

a I would have liked to have had the chance

b. I would like to have the chance

c. i like to have the chance

d i will like to have had the chance

e i would like to have had the chance

Spoiler Code A

I know it is not C or D because one of them is future and the other one is present tense.

I would like to does not sound right to me. So I would go with A.

.. quite a rare and excellent question!!!

perfect example of FUTURE-PAST-PERFECT tense.

Future perfect:The Future Perfect of any verb is formed from the Simple Future of the auxiliary to have, followed by the past participle of the verb.

hence A

this is a very rare tense in gmat...

wats the source??
