Hi,
The application deadlines for the Business school I'm shooting are Nov 20(3rd round) and Jan 15(final round). I've a bad verbal score in GMAT and the feedback from the admission counselor was that I need to bump up the verbal to be competitive (which was obvious and expected). I've been told that delaying the application would have its own risk (not that its already late).
Here I'm, not convinced with the progress in GMAT prep but running out of time. I'm looking at following options and request your comment/advice.
* Option 1: have the application submitted by 11/20
+ GMAT scheduled for 11/06, but postpone it by a week to 11/13 and write the essays within a week.
+ Risk - I'm worried that I'm allocating very less time for VERY IMPORTANT essays(3-4)
* Option 2: delay the application
+ GMAT by 11/13; work on essays for 2-3 weeks and submit the application by 12/15
+ Risk - entering the last round of application process
* Option 3:
+ Talk to admission counselor about this approach before executing
+ Complete the essays by 11/15
+ Still submit the application by 11/20 and work on GMAT in parallel
+ Risk - Going in with bad GMAT score and even talking about this approach with admission counselor
Thanks much
