640 and looking for advice

by rothfunk » Sat Mar 08, 2008 12:55 pm
Hi everyone,

I took the GMAT today and got a 640 45Q and 34V. I'm disappointed with this score and want to improve my score to around 700.

I took a PR class and did most of the problems in OG11. I took 5 PR practice exams. My math scores improved quite a bit, but I haven't seen much improvement in my verbal scores.

So basically, I'm just looking for advice. I'm new to this site and have started looking around at everything. I think an online question bank would be ideal for me and I need to take more practice exams. Does any one recommend a certain question bank? Pacing was a also problem for me on the verbal.

I signed up to take the test again in the middle of April. Hopefully I can re-energize soon and go for it again! Thanks for your help.

Check out the Manhattan GMAT website. They have a ton of practice set questions on every topic you could possibly encounter on the actual GMAT exam.
