Hi All

I've arranged a visit to the Richard Ivey School at the University of Western Ontario next week and apparently the visit will include a chance to sit in on a real life class. Obviously first impressions are vital and I was wondering what I should wear since a suit, shirt and tie might be over doing it since this isn't an interview (as far as I know), more of a look and see.

Thanks.

As you said, it is not an interview. You are going to attend this class to get a feel of the classroom culture, curriculum, and faculty of that school. So you may not want to dress in suit and tie.

There are a few threads on this topic (some quite detailed) available on the site. IIRC, they recommend business-casual, so you're not too under-dressed and you don't stand out "that guy".
