Hi and thanks for your note. I think your profile and work experience all sounds like good fits for your long-shots and your targeted schools. I would say more except that it sounds like you are right on target and don't really need any commentary from me!

That said, in terms of your interview, I really wouldn't worry too much about that. Interviews, in my experience, do not get an enormous amount of weight. If you really botch an interview badly or if you really do extremely well then it may have an impact; but, by and large, as long as you are polite, say things that are consistent with your application, etc., you should do fine. Don't let this be a concern --trust me.

I often wonder about the reasons that people fear interviews. One reason is certainly that the stakes seem large: if I mess up the interview then I won't get an MBA!! This isn't really the case. Another reason is that I think people expect a "hostile" interview like one might get as a test from a consulting firm or investment bank. This is not the case: business school interviewers will ask fair questions that will only be tough if you haven't prepared (and usually just writing your apps is enough preparation). Finally, some folks just have a fear of public speaking: this, too, can be overcome with practice and training.
Keep me in the loop about your thinking and let me know if you have any more questions.
