I am reaching out because I feel I need help from the BTG community. I took the GMAT in Aug '12 and scored a 680. I only intend to apply to INSEAD for the Jan '14 intake. I think with my background and their averages, I need to score a little higher with the GMAT to have a more competitive profile. I guess what I am asking for is:

1) When should i schedule my test again? I think I could put aside 1.5 hours on weekdays and 5-6 hours on weekends for study.

2) Any study plans that have worked for people in similar situations? I realize there are alot of study plans on here but most of them are geared towards people starting out studying for the gmat. (Is that the approach I should be taking? Like i am starting from scratch?)

I have signed up for the Knewton course and still have all my MGMAT books. Planning on buying OG 13 on my way home from work today.

I feel lost and its taken me a while to get my act together to take on this challenge again. Any support would be much appreciated.

How were you preparing to the exam? Could you give more details what materials and courses you were using?

I studied for about 2 months. I used the BTG 60 day plan and followed it using the MGMAT books and OG '12. I did every question in the OG and scored 720 and 730 on practice GMATs from mba.com. I found a local test prep company and bought 6 practice tests from them as well. I do not remember my scores as it was a while ago. I feel that I was not as prepared as I could have been math wise. That is all I used. With a little more practice, I am certain I can increase my verbal, but what I really need is to balance my overall score with a higher quant score. Any thoughts? Thanks!
