However much parents in johannson's district may agree that the instruction of moral values should take place in elementary school classroom, it is difficult for them to arrive at consensus concerning what those value are and how they should be taught.

A- However much parents in johannson's district may agree that
B- Despite the fact that the parents in johannson's district may agree that
C- There is a general agreement among the parents in johannson's district that
D- Although the parents in johannson's district agree for
E- Even thought the parents in johannson's district agree

Why is B incorrect ? [/u]

Grammatically, both A and B are correct. But B changes the intended meaning of the sentence.

Try to repeat "however much" and "despite the fact that" in your mind...you will definitely get the difference in the meaning.

This is another wired construction whose answer is A
"However much parents" sounds awkward but correct grammatical construction

There is one thing which is commonly unacceptable with all the options, all the options assert that the parents agree that the instruction of moral values should take place, while the question does not actually assert the fact.
My choice is A

However much parents in johannson's district may agree that [/u]the instruction of moral values should take place in elementary school classroom, it is difficult for them to arrive at consensus concerning what those value are and how they should be taught.

A- However much parents in johannson's district may agree that ( should be many parents)
B- Despite the fact that the parents in johannson's district may agree that ( wordy)
C- There is a general agreement among the parents in johannson's district that ( maybe this option is correct although i dislike it much )
D- Although the parents in johannson's district agree for ( i dont think this option could be correct because there is a setence with subject and verb behind this phrase thus after agree, there must be " that", if the sentence is " althought the parents in johannason's districts agree that the intruction should take place...., its difficult...", it would be correct.
E- Even thought the parents in johannson's district agree ( the same like D)
