Hi All ,
I would truly appreciate a candid feedback on my profile and my chances of making it to strong program . So here it goes
Indian Male - 31 yrs
Total Work Profile
Total work ex - 8 yrs
Started career as a Software programmer with Satyam Computer Services ltd . Got promoted in a single year to join the Technology Consulting team on architecture and design . Worked here for a total of 2 years and was selected by IBM Global Business Consulting team . Worked in IBM for a year and moved to the position of a Consultant moved on to join TCS Global Consulting Practice and graduated to become a Junior Engagement manager working on designing operating model , cost benefit analysis , performance improvement and blue blood consulting . Finally joined Ernst and Young Management consulting as an Senior Manager . Currently leading large public sector banking engagements in India and globally consulting Banking industry on technology initiatives and designing transformation road maps. Also the P/L owner of these critical engagements.
An avid sports enthusiast, between business presentations and enterprise architecture discussions have managed to do considerable rock climbing and mountaineering . Recent achievement being making it to the Army base camp at height 5400 mts on the slopes of Mt Everest . Also have scaled 2/3 rd of the Kanchenjunga along with Indian Army. Other interests are in playing golf to an amateur state level in India.
Have international experience of more than 2 years with Utilities industry in UK and technology consulting assignments spanning 1.5 yrs in Singapore , Hong Kong , Thailand , South Korea.
Graduation - Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science from Nagpur University
3.62 GPA - passed in 2006
Very strong academic record in School std 10,12 both above 88%
GMAT - Yet to be taken , mock tests show an average of 740
Targeting - R2 2013/14 --- R1 2014/15 cycle
The below are some of the specific questions I have
1. What are the top programs I should apply for General Management , Finance and strategy ?
2. What are my chances of making it to H/S/W/LBS
3. Am I over aged for an MBA , though I feel there are several people who are taking MBA programs at work ex of 13 yrs too ?
4. Will applying in R2 impact my chances as I cannot complete GMAT before October 2013 ?
