Dear Parth,

To be honest, you have some ambitious school choices. If you are able to increase your GMAT to 700+, then you will be in a much better position. However, I think you should also apply to 1-2 other schools in the 25-50 range as back up options. You might get into one of your top choices, but it is always good to have alternatives. It is not enough, however, to have a 700+ GMAT and good grades from college; you also must distinguish yourself from other applicants with similar profiles.

Loans are your responsibility and most international students secure loans in their home countries. Banks in the US will not loan funds to non-US citizens without a co-signer who is a US citizen. Scholarships are extremely difficult to receive from a top 20 business school. If scholarship funds are critical to you, then you will need to look at schools outside the top 30. Please note: most students receiving awards get only a partial scholarship, so you will still need to have the remaining funds.

Good luck,
Lisa
