The answer IMOE. Most of the other options are either run-ons, because the clauses in most other options are juxtapositioned as called in traditional grammar, or ungrammatical. Only option E gives a proper grammatical construction; the initial supplementive clause is immediately followed by its noun subject 'Charles Lindenberg'. The participle reluctant syntactically relates to Charles Lindenberg appropriately.

Obviously if E is correct it would be correct in every grammatical manner and the one those are not because
they follow ungrammatical norms.... thats known

what are those norms I am more interested in knowing that my friend....
