Undergrad: Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario (Canada) - 3.7 GPA

710 GMAT (Q 48 V 40)

Dear starberrybsd,

If you believe you can increase your GMAT score at least 20 points, then it might be worth it to retake and delay your Columbia app to R1. Your current score is competitive; however, decisions are made on more than a GMAT. You have solid career progression and a high GPA, so there are some positives in your profile. All parts of your application will need to be strong, so do not retake the GMAT at the expense of your essays. Think about the strength of all of your application pieces (essays, recs, interview) and how likely a 20+ point increase on the GMAT is, then you can decide what to do.
