IMO "B" as well.
use of reflexive pronoun "themselves" seems to indicate action happened by truck i.e. truck by themselves came off the assembly line.
"D" and "E" wrong idiom
"A" the numbers of is wrong usage

Agree. B looks best among lot.
But Is "twice that" a valid idiom?

twice "that number" is needed here to imply a contrast.
and 'alone' is needed to complete the comparison.
the reflexive pronoun 'themselves' is inappropriate as it refers to trucks. It implies that trucks did something themselves.. which is wrong.
