my progress.. what next

by fevergallore » Wed Mar 05, 2008 9:50 pm
Hi;

I am Indian engineer; I passed out a year ago and now am planning to persue MBA from a good university in US. First hurdle to achieve this goal is GMAT.

I had started my prepn 2 months ago;

I haven yet taken the GMAT date; My progress so far

Tests:-
1> Princeton review (zero prepn) m-47, v-25, score 590
2>Powerprep (after 1 month of prepn) m-45, v-33, score 640
3>Kaplan (1 month 15 days) m-36, v-35, score 590
4>PRinceton(2 months) m-46, v-32 score-640

Material:-

Started with princeton, cleared all the basics

finshed 3/4 of OG. 100 qsns in all three sections of verbal, 130 qsns in PS and DS; (MANY problems remain in PS)

My weakness is SC, I tend to do a lot of idiom qsns wrong; I cannot spot pronoun testing qsns, I dont know about subjunctives. I believe that SC is one place where I can really cover a lot of ground. My accuracy in sc is 65-70 pc

My accuracy in RC and CR is about 80 pc;

In DS, I struggle with inequalities, probability and relative speed qsns.

What are your suggestions?
I need your advice as to which book should I use once i exhaust my OG;
Which practice tests should I give?

I am planning to give my GMAT in May end or June 1st week(mainly when I feel that I am confident)

Please give me suggestions;
