Kaplan Problem

by reply2spg » Sat Oct 02, 2010 7:26 am
If it rains during a guest's stay at holiday resort X, the management refunds the price of the guest's room for each day it rains. How many per diem refunds were given last June?

1. it rained on 1/15 on the days in last june

2. 720 guests stayed at the hotel last june.

I got the answer right but not sure what is per diem means in this problem?

Its "per day" (per diem is in Latin :) ). Is GMAT going to test the same...LOL?

its a straightforward c... dont bother about per diem refunds... question is basically testing the number of refunds for june..

IMO
(E)
We may not know if all the guests stayed in the hotel on the days it rained.

In my view E is the answer.

kapur.arnav, C cannot be true because we never know if all the guests for the entire period of a month or for "X" number of days or any thing of that sort.

E must be the answer definately.... (hi budddddddyyyy)

we have to find how much money twere given last june depending on the number of rainy day but we dunno how much money was given a day so both are not sufficient
