If 60 percent of a is equal to 120 percent of b, then 2 a - 4 b =?
(A) -360
(B) 0
(C) 0.5 a
(D) 2 a
(E) 3 a

60% of a=120 %ofb
60/100*a=120/100*b
0.6a=1.2b multiplying by 10 both side
6a=12b
a=2b
a-2b=0
2a-4b=0 (multiplying by 2 both side)

hence answer B

"60 percent of a is equal to 120 percent of b" means that a=2b so 2a-4b=0
