Each statement along is not enough to answer as it gives value of A in terms of y, which is an unknown.
Combined together we get the following.

A^2 = (6.2597) [(1.9583) A] ^ 2 ~= 24 A^2
This is possible for only one value of A, which is 0.

Hence answer, IMO is C.
