Dear gmatps25,

For the most accurate GPA conversion, you might consider having your transcript evaluated by a credentialing service like Global Credential Evaluators or World Evaluation Services. With regards to school selection, I encourage you to visit our sticky on school selection for tips and suggestions on how to identify programs that are a good match for you. As for the schools noted in your post, I think you have a good mix of reach and reasonable schools. It will be tough for you to stand out from the large number of other Indian telecomm engineers as many will have much higher GMAT scores. That is where your essays and recommendations are critical, so be sure to put the time and effort in to ensure you are using them to distinguish you from the competition.

Good luck,
Lisa

Generally speaking, you are competitive for schools where your GMAT/GPA are close to/above the schools' average GMAT/GPA. For those schools, they would be your reasonable to safety programs. If you are below the average, then those schools become more of a reach for you. For example, schools with GMAT averages above a 680 would be reach schools for you.

The sticky on school selection is located at the top of the Stacy Blackman Consulting section where you posted your question.

Lisa
