Regarding Chances of Getting into Top B Schools in India

Sir / Madam,

I have completed B.Tech Production & Industrial Engineering from NIT, Allahabad with a percentage of 61.75.( In some semesters gone below 60% in the range of 55 -60)Overall managed 61.75% altogether.

Career Background
1) Worked as a Manager for a period of 2 years 2 months in Cummins India Ltd covering New Product Introduction & Planning.
2) Worked as Asst. Manager for a period of 2 years 3 months in Alsthom India ltd covering New Product Introduction, Lean & Planning.
3)At present working as an Deputy Manager, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for a period of 4 years in the areas include Methods & Planning.

GMAT Score : 710.
Total Work Exp : Around 8 years.

Scored above 90% in class X & XII.

Applied to IIM A, IIM B, IIM C, ISB & SP Jain. Kindly evaluate my chances.

Was your percentage score a First Class or First Class with Distinction?

Having graduated from an NIT and having a good GMAT score should make you competitive for the IIM's and ISB.

Your profile is about average for accepted candidates to IIM's and ISB. You have roughly the average GMAT score, come from a very good undergraduate school (but not an IIT) and have a First Class (but not With Distinction).

So, statistically, if you diversify your applications among the IIM's and ISB you should gain acceptance to at least one, assuming a high quality application.

If you have some international exposure in your job I would highlight this as most accepted students to IIM A have some international exposure in their careers.
