Peer essay-editing, anyone?

by dchen » Thu Aug 26, 2010 1:05 am
Hi all,
I just took the GMAT and have one month to revise (and write, for some of them) my essays for Wharton, Harvard, Stanford. Wondering if anyone would be interested (not sure if this is a good idea, but it seems like it) in peer editing essays.

Obviously would be very helpful if it were the same schools, but not necessary. I would review yours and you would review mine.....

Has anyone tried this?

If interested, please private message me.

Thanks!

Interesting idea - you may be on to something. My only concern would be: if your essays are heavily influenced by your peer applying to the same school, the structure and flow of essays for both of you may look too similar. Schools want you to differentiate yourself from others. If you choose to go this route, keep that in mind.

Good point, though I'm thinking that editing and the use of entirely different topics should not heavily influence how similar the essays may be.

Anyhow, perhaps better in this case to edit essays from other schools, keeping this thought in mind.

Again, please let me know if you're interested (no responses yet :( )
