I was looking for any input on realistic options for MBA programs.
Quick profile:
GMAT: 720, AWA: 6 IR: 8
UG GPA: 2.3
No minority status
I graduated in 2009 from a top 15 university with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I withdrew from university in 2007 with a semester remaining due to depression I had been battling throughout UG reaching a breaking point (addressed in optional essay). Worked for a year, got my head on straight, then finished my degree at a different university (3.78 GPA final semester).
I work in a consulting engineering firm (approximately 4 years) and work in a leadership role.
I understand that my GPA is a serious hindrance to my MBA prospects. I am targeting a few schools around 20-30 and some around 50-90.
Anyone have any opinions on what I should have for 'reach schools' 'target schools' and 'safe schools'?
I'm happy to answer any further questions. Thanks!
