Hi.
My profile so far is:

- Mexican Engineer 29 years old
- More than 7 years as a consultant of a big 4
- Extensive international experience (focused in Latinoamerica)
- GMAT 650 (Q45,v 34)
- GPA 7.84 from 10
- Volunteer teacher for more than 11 years

My GMAT and my GPA are to low for a top school?

Do I have to re-take the GMAT?

Hi,

Thanks for your post. Overall you do have an impressive profile, I do have some concerns about your GPA and GMAT. Adcoms may have some concerns about your ability to perform academically (even though you have solid professional experience). Given the average GMAT at top US schools is 715+, you may wish to reconsider taking the GMAT. Again, you have solid professional experience (and the international component is a plus), but academically you are a bit below the average and this could work against you in the application process.

If you are planning to apply for 2012, you do have time to study for and retake the GMAT before the October deadlines.

Best of luck,

Stacey
