Newtonian physics dominated science for over two centuries. It found consistently successful application, becoming one of the most highly substantiated and accepted theories in the history of science. Nevertheless, Einstein's theories came to show the fundamental limits of Newtonian physics and to surpass the Newtonian view in the early 1900s, giving rise once again to a physics that has so far enjoyed wide success.
Which one of the following logically follows from the statements above?

A.The history of physics is characterized by a pattern of one successful theory subsequently surpassed by another.
B.Long-standing success or substantiation of a theory of physics is no guarantee that the theory will continue to be dominant indefinitely.
C.Every theory of physics, no matter how successful, is eventually surpassed by one that is more successful.
D.Once a theory of physics is accepted, it will remain dominant for centuries.
E.If a long-accepted theory of physics is surpassed, it must be surpassed by a theory that is equally successful.

What's the best approach to determine the answer? Can any experts help?

Option A - CORRECT.
This option is the most suitable to define the claim of the argument here. Theories are subjected to change, because, it is a system of ideas intended to explain a scientific acceptable general principles offered to explain phenomena. However, different scientist come up with their own theories which acceptable and can be successful at time being until another successful theories arise to surpass the old successful one.

Option B - INCORRECT.
In the history of Physics no theory has been dominate indefinitely, there will always be another successful theory to surpass the old successful one.

Option C - INCORRECT.
Every theory of physics not matter the success rate is eventually surpassed by one which is more successful, but does not stop the other from being reference to.

Option D - INCORRECT.
There is no fact about any theory of physics that has stayed for centuries without a counter theory to compete the success story with, but still does not stop it from being acceptable and successful. Therefore, this claim is poor.

Option E - INCORRECT.
A long accepted theory is surpassed by a theory that stands to proclaim more facts than the old theory and most be equally extraordinary in proofing its facts to be more successful than the old one.
