The number of employees in xyz corp. is a prime number and is less than 300. The ratio of the number of employees who are graduates and above, to that of employees who are not, can possibly be
(A) 101:88
(B) 87:100
(C) 110:111
(D) 85:98
(E) 97:84

The sum of the two ratios must be a prime number in order to satisfy the criteria of the employees

Only option (E) gives us a sum which is prime, so pick (E)

Can you confirm the OA?

Total=(a+b)*x

a=Number of emp who are graduates and above

a=Number of emp who are not graduates

Here a+b is prime and x=1

Only option E satisfy this.

Total=181*1
