Booth vs NYU

by chadbadmoon » Thu Apr 08, 2010 5:22 am
The question is this:

I have been admitted to BOOTH adn NYU and I am not sure where I should go.

I am a career switcher (engineering) and I would specialize in Finance and General Management for a General Management career track.

What do you suggest?

Thank you!

Hello,

Congratulations on your acceptances!

Objectively, I think both could serve your needs equally well. I suggest reviewing both schools' recruiting over the past 3-5 years, especially over the past 1-2, and see which school has more recruiters offering positions of the types you'd like at the companies that most interest you. I imagine that if one program is clearly stronger in this comparison, it would influence your decision toward that school. If you find they're roughly equal, then you should weigh other factors such as which program is a better fit academically in terms of your learning needs/style, the social environment of the school, the alumni involvement, etc.

Best regards,
