I was to choose between B and E. Chose B because - he kinda provides a bit support though he disapproves in the end.

E i thought was strong. would someone justify E?
Looking forward to 2013 MBA admissions!

One of the instances which prove E to be strong:

First para, last sentence......"i contend such........" clearly mentions the author's disapproval. The author is not hesitating to mention his point (so B fails here)
