T-minus 30 days: need planning advice

by acegirl19 » Mon Feb 06, 2012 10:07 am
Hi everyone,

I am 30 days away from the big day and need some advice planning the rest of the study period.

Over the past couple months, I've reviewed all 8 Manhattan Gmat strategy books and OG guide. I have also take Prep exam #1 and 4 MG CAT exams. Scores range climbed steadily from 610 - 690. Then I retook the Prep exam #1 and got 630 and 760 (may be due to the fact that I saw the same questions).

I'm worried about the inconsistency even after covering all the topics. I still get stumped on math tricks even though I think I get the basics of each Math concept.

I plan to review the MG strategy books again and take a few more practice. Please provide your feedback and any suggestions!

Thank you~

There are various ways you can use to practise for your GMAT. You might need to change your practise style and try this combination to provide you flexibility and different styles to practise so it doesn't get monotonous.

It could be combination of-

1-Books- Books like- The Official Guide for GMAT Review, The Official Guide for GMAT Verbal
Review, The Official Guide for GMAT Quantitative Review etc could be used.

2-Online Study Guide: Websites like Knewton, Grockit etc provide you with practise questions
online.

3-Smart phone applications- Kaplan, Veritas etc offer applications to prepare for GMAT on your
smart phones

I do like the math tests at GMATClub. They contain all 700+ level questions, so you will get used to dealing with questions that are just as hard or harder than any math questions you face on the real GMAT. I would give these a look for sure.
