Rather than going to a GMAT institute and paying hefty fees (which includes 18% GST), my suggestion to you is to take online GMAT training from any freelance trainer.
The advantages are many -
1. Many of these freelance trainers may also be teaching at some of these well-known institutes. So you get experienced faculty at one-fourth the cost and no 18% GST.
2. You save time - don't have to commute - and above all flexibility of timings from the comforts of your home.
3. Get actual and individualized learning without the flab of any brand name.
4. A GMAT score of 700 is good enough to apply to top universities - a score of 780 or 750 won't make much of a difference to your acceptance chances - so don't get unnecessarily focused on a very high GMAT score.
5. You should devote more time and effort on building your profile - that is the most important criterion - try to portray yourself with the following attributes -
An out of the box thinker with the drive and passion to come up with unique ideas.
How you have made great difference to your work place with outstanding ideas.
Have A New Vision before you post-MBA to create a disruption in any field and emerge as a trendsetter.
Strong extra-curriculars, with interests in diverse areas.
Have an open mind and knowledge of multiple sectors and industries.
Ambitious, yet realistic.

If you're exploring flexible GMAT tutoring options, it might help to look beyond traditional institutes and consider platforms that specialise in quality-focused online learning. Many candidates I know—especially those balancing work with test prep, prefer personalised, instructor-led sessions that adapt to their pace.

BrightSparks has been quite reliable for learners looking for structured yet flexible guidance in competitive exams. Their approach is more about clarity, strategy, and consistent support rather than overwhelming you with theory. If you want to compare options or understand how tailored online prep can work, you can click here: brightsparks.co to see how similar tutoring models operate and what kind of mentoring style may suit you best.

From what I’ve seen, the biggest advantage of going with an experienced online tutor is targeted improvement. One of my colleagues improved her GMAT quant score significantly in just a few weeks simply because her sessions were customised around her weak areas instead of a fixed classroom syllabus.

If General Education is hiring GMAT instructors for remote sessions, it’s definitely worth connecting with them. And for anyone preparing, evaluating both freelance mentors and reputable learning platforms can help you choose what aligns best with your study style and goals.
