in the xy-plane, the line k has positive slope and x-intercept 4. If the area of the triangle formed by line k and the two axes is 12, what is the y-intercept of the line k?

y=mx+c
m>0
-c/m=4 -> c is less than 0 (y-intercept<0)
area = (1/2)(x-intercept)*(y-intercept) = 12
4*(y-intercept) = 24
y-intercept=6
but as it is less than 0, -6
IMO A
