If x and y are integers, is x + y greater than 0?

If x and y are integers, is x + y greater than 0?

(1) x is greater than 0.
(2) y is less than 1.

Taking 1,

X>0, ...................X+Y = 0 (possible),x+y<0 also possible (if y is a negative integer and y < -x

Taking 2,

Y<1.....................X+Y = 0 (possible if X could also be less than 0,or y = -x or X=Y=0)

Taking 1 & 2,

X+Y=0............... (if y = -x)

There the ans is E
